The KP government has introduced a new standardized timetable across all public schools in the province, issuing an official notification to formalize its immediate implementation.
The uniform academic schedule applies to students from Class 1 through Class 12, covering both summer and winter terms to bring consistency and improvement to the teaching system.
The Education Department has directed school heads to distribute teacher responsibilities in line with prescribed workloads, ensuring effective supervision of all instructional activities.
The eighth period has been designated exclusively for co-curricular activities, with the establishment of student societies made compulsory in all higher secondary schools across the province.
Each higher secondary school will be required to form literary, scientific, fine arts, Seerat-ul-Nabi, and community service societies aimed at developing well-rounded capabilities among students.
The Education Department has also made it mandatory for teachers to maintain attendance registers and activity logbooks as part of their daily professional and administrative responsibilities.
District education officers have been assigned full responsibility for ensuring strict compliance with the new timetable across all public schools within their respective jurisdictions.
