The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has invited undergraduate and postgraduate students to participate in the 19th International Collegiate Snow Sculpture Contest (ICSSC 2027), scheduled to take place in China.
According to HEC, the international competition will be held at Harbin Engineering University in Harbin from January 3 to 8, 2027. Interested universities must submit their applications and required documents by November 6, 2026.
Students cannot apply individually and must participate through their universities. Each university can nominate one team consisting of up to four students and an accompanying advisor. The competition will feature professional and amateur categories, with teams required to prepare original snow sculpture designs for evaluation.
Selected teams will receive accommodation and partial meal support from the organizers, while no entry fee will be charged. However, participants will have to arrange their own international travel expenses and other costs not covered by the organizers. HEC has clarified that it is only announcing the opportunity and will not provide financial assistance.
Interested students should contact their university administration for team selection and application procedures. Universities must submit completed applications directly to the competition organizers before the deadline. Further details are available on the HEC official website.
