The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has warned Pakistanis, particularly those living abroad, against unauthorized websites and online portals that are using the authority’s name to offer fraudulent services.
NADRA advised citizens not to use websites that claim to provide NADRA-related services without proper authorization. The authority specifically warned users against sharing sensitive information, including personal details, passport information, fingerprints, and payment details on such platforms.
NADRA has identified several unauthorized websites operating under names associated with services such as “NADRA Card Center” and “NADRA Online Card.” These platforms may misuse NADRA’s name and branding to appear legitimate.
The authority urged citizens to access NADRA services only through its official platforms and to carefully verify websites before submitting any personal or financial information.
NADRA also advised individuals who may have already shared their information with unauthorized websites to immediately report the matter to the relevant cybercrime authorities and take necessary steps to protect their personal data.
The warning comes as fraudulent websites continue to target citizens by misusing the names and branding of government institutions. NADRA has urged the public to remain vigilant and avoid falling victim to such scams.
