LAHORE: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore has introduced an advanced software system for the 2025 Matriculation exams, aimed at enhancing transparency, fairness, and security in the examination process.

In a recent meeting chaired by BISE Lahore Task Force Committee for Boards Chairman Mazamil Mahmood, along with Higher Education Department Secretary Dr. Farrukh Naveed and Lahore Commissioner/Chairman Board Zaid bin Maqsood, officials discussed the measures to ensure a fair examination system. BISE Lahore Secretary Rizwan Nazir and Controller Examinations Zahid Mian were also in attendance.

For the first time, an automated system will handle the deployment of examination staff, including superintendents, deputy superintendents, and invigilators. This technology eliminates manual interventions, ensuring a transparent duty allocation process.

The 2025 Matric exams will be conducted across 920 examination centers—52 more than previous years—to accommodate 568,854 students from both Science and General Groups. To uphold exam integrity, blacklisted, retired, and private staff will be excluded from appointments.

Developed by program engineer Tahir Yaqob, who received AI and automation training from Silicon Valley, the BISE Lahore software streamlines staff allocation using a database of 100,000 teachers, ensuring zone-wise duty assignments without human interference. This automation significantly minimizes favoritism and misconduct, reinforcing a merit-based appointment system. Additionally, safeguards have been implemented to prevent teachers from being assigned to centers where their students are appearing for exams.

By eliminating personal influence in staff deployment, BISE Lahore’s software marks a groundbreaking step in securing a fair and transparent examination process.
