A long-awaited train service is launching between Sukkur and Pano Aqil. Authorities expect the new “Ho Jamalo” train service to begin within the next few weeks. Furthermore, an additional e-coaster transport service will simultaneously connect the two major cities.
Sukkur District Council Chairman Syed Kumail Hyder Shah announced these details today. He visited the Sukkur Railway Station to review the final arrangements. During this visit, he inspected preparations for the new “Ho Jamalo” train service. The train will officially depart from the Rohri locoshed. Consequently, it will operate between Rohri and Shikarpur. Passengers can expect stops at several railway stations along this route.
Pakistan Railways and the Sukkur District Council jointly worked on the “Ho Jamalo” train service project for nearly a year. Today, preparations have finally entered the last phase. Authorities expect to start operations around Muharram. Pakistan Railways Divisional Superintendent, Sukkur, Farman Ghani, recently briefed officials on the operational progress.
Meanwhile, workers are constructing a VIP lounge at the Sukkur Railway Station. This facility will accommodate regular passengers and their families. Chairman Shah also addressed maintenance concerns. He assured reporters that authorities will maintain strict oversight. They will actively prevent anyone from changing or swapping the train’s coaches.
The new transportation initiatives heavily target student welfare. Most notably, students will travel completely free of charge on the Ho Jamalo train. This exemption will last for six months after the official launch.
Additionally, the transport upgrades feature a dedicated tech integration. Officials plan to launch a low-cost motorbike service shortly. Furthermore, they will introduce a dedicated mobile application named “Phia”. This app will directly help students commute easily to and from their educational institutions.
