OnePlus, the famed Chinese flagship killer seems to make a comeback with its upcoming flagship, OnePlus 6 after getting not much attention on the release of OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T.
OnePlus 6, codenamed A6000 has recently spotted in AnTuTu Benchmark results, acquired by Android Central and it reportedly outperforms all existing flagships in terms of speed all thanks to its insanely fast CPU. The device has managed to beat the previous champion, a mysterious smartphone powered by Snapdragon 845 chipset with an overall score of 276,510, the highest ever recorded on AnTuTu benchmarking program.
Though OnePlus 6 is also likely to feature Snapdragon 845 processors, the combination with 8GB RAM will make the phone a powerhouse for gaming and multi-tasking. If the leak appears to be true then the upcoming flagship of OnePlus is a potential threat to the iOS family’s iPhone X featuring A11 processors and Android family’s beauty Galaxy S9 powered by SD845.
It must be noted that a high benchmark score doesn’t necessarily mean a flawless user experience, so it remains to be seen how the OnePlus 6 compares to its predecessor OnePlus 5T, or to other flagship smartphones of 2018.
The Benchmark leak has also affirmed the existence of a notch on OnePlus’ upcoming flagship smartphone, following other infamous smartphones brands which are shamelessly copying Apple. OnePlus 6 would be taller in size, with empty space at the top, hinting towards an exact space for a notch.
Though OnePlus might make the device official as early as next month, it is likely that the device will be released in June.
