Oppo may already be working on its next foldable smartphone. A new leak from China claims the company has started developing the Oppo Find N7 ahead of its expected launch in the first quarter of 2027.
The Oppo Find N6 debuted in March this year. Now, according to the source, it has shared new details about its successor on Weibo. According to the leak, the Oppo Find N7 could feature a wider design. The new form factor may resemble the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 and Apple’s rumored iPhone Ultra.
The report also suggests that the foldable phone will run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset. Oppo is expected to use the standard version of the processor instead of the Pro model.
Another major addition could be an on-device AI accelerator. However, the leak did not reveal how Oppo plans to use this feature or what AI capabilities it may offer.
Bigger Battery and Improved Displays
The Oppo Find N7 is also rumored to pack a 6,500mAh battery. If true, that would be a 500mAh increase over the battery found in the Find N6. Earlier reports also hinted at changes to the display setup. The device may feature a 5.5-inch cover screen and a 7.6-inch folding inner display.
In addition, the main display could use Oppo’s latest crease-reduction technology. This upgrade may help make the screen fold line less noticeable. Oppo has not confirmed any details about the Find N7 yet. Since the phone is still far from launch, more information is likely to surface in the coming months.
