Pakistan Railways has launched an upgraded Karakoram Express from Lahore, introducing improved facilities aimed at providing passengers with a safer and more comfortable travel experience.
Chief Executive Officer Pakistan Railways Muhammad Hafeezullah formally launched the upgraded train alongside Lahore Divisional Superintendent Inamullah and other railway officials.
During the launch ceremony, Hafeezullah inspected the train’s coaches and reviewed the facilities available to passengers. He also examined the improvements made to the coaches as part of the department’s efforts to enhance passenger services.
Hafeezullah said Pakistan Railways plans to upgrade more passenger trains in phases. The initiative is aimed at improving safety, comfort and the overall quality of travel for passengers.
The CEO said passenger safety and comfort remain key priorities for the railway administration. He added that the department would continue upgrading additional trains to improve facilities across its passenger network.
The launch of the upgraded Karakoram Express marks another step in Pakistan Railways’ ongoing efforts to modernize passenger services and improve the travel experience.
