Mohammad Rizwan reached 9,000 T20 runs during PSL 11, becoming only the third Pakistani batter in history to achieve the milestone in international and franchise cricket.
The RawalPindiz captain scored 45 runs off 38 deliveries against Islamabad United at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi on Thursday afternoon.
Rizwan entered the fixture with 8,968 T20 runs and crossed the 9,000-run mark during his innings, finishing the match with a total tally of 9,013 runs overall.
His knock guided RawalPindiz to a six-wicket victory over Islamabad United, which also marked the franchise’s first-ever win in the Pakistan Super League competition.
The wicket-keeper batter joins compatriots Shoaib Malik and Babar Azam as the only Pakistani batters to have surpassed 9,000 runs in the shortest format of the game.
Malik leads all Pakistani batters with 13,571 runs scored across 515 innings, while Babar sits second on the list with 12,331 runs from 343 innings.

West Indies great Chris Gayle holds the all-time T20 run-scoring record with 14,562 runs, while Malik is the only Pakistani batter ranked inside the global top ten.
In T20 internationals specifically, Rizwan ranks seventh among all-time leading run scorers, having accumulated 3,414 runs across 93 innings for Pakistan.
Babar Azam leads Pakistan’s T20I run-scorers list with 4,596 runs from 136 innings, maintaining a remarkable batting average of 38.94 across his international career.
