The University of the Punjab has officially announced summer vacations for all its teaching departments, institutes, centers, constituent colleges, and schools from June 1 to August 28, 2026, according to a notification issued by the registrar’s office.
During the vacation period, academic activities across the university will remain suspended, while administrative staff will continue to perform their regular duties.
The notification also directs departments to ensure the completion of final semester BS courses and examinations, including eighth-semester classes, before the start of the summer break.
However, departments with special academic requirements or urgent circumstances may continue classes or conduct examinations during the vacation period, subject to prior approval from the vice chancellor.
The circular, issued by the Academic Branch (Record Section) on May 18, has been shared with all faculty deans, department heads, principals, and administrative offices for implementation.
