Samsung has officially started rolling out the stable One UI 8.5 update worldwide after testing it first in South Korea. The update is now reaching more Galaxy users beyond the latest Galaxy S25 lineup.
The company confirmed that the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S23 series, including the Fan Edition models, will also receive One UI 8.5 in the coming days. Samsung is expanding the rollout to more flagship devices as well.
The new software is already prepared for the Galaxy Z Flip7, Galaxy Z Fold7, Galaxy Z Flip6, Galaxy Z Fold6, and the Galaxy Tab S10 and Tab S11 series. In addition, selected Galaxy A smartphones are expected to receive the update soon. However, the rollout for mid-range devices may take slightly longer.
Although the jump from One UI 8 to One UI 8.5 looks small, the update brings several noticeable changes. Samsung has refreshed parts of the interface and introduced a range of new features across the system.
A major focus of One UI 8.5 is Galaxy AI. Samsung has improved its AI-powered image editing and image generation tools. The company also upgraded Bixby with smarter features and deeper integration with Perplexity AI.
The camera experience also gets several upgrades. Users can now scan documents more easily, preview live videos in real time, and record video using both the selfie and rear cameras at the same time.
Besides AI and camera improvements, Samsung added updates to Samsung Health, Quick Share, connectivity tools, and battery-saving features. These additions aim to improve the overall user experience across Galaxy devices.
