Samsung is now testing One UI 9 on the Galaxy S26 FE, according to a source on X. The test build carries version number S741NKSU0AZE5. Meanwhile, the Korean model number is confirmed as SM-S741N.
This early software testing strongly suggests that One UI 9 will ship with the device out of the box. As a result, the Galaxy S26 FE is unlikely to arrive before Samsung’s next foldables. These include the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Flip8, which are expected to debut One UI 9 on July 22.
This timing also aligns with Samsung’s recent release pattern. The Galaxy S25 FE was launched in September last year. Therefore, a later launch window for the S26 FE is not unexpected.
In addition, earlier benchmark data from Geekbench, shared in April, reveals key hardware details. The Galaxy S26 FE is expected to run on the Exynos 2500 chipset. This marks an upgrade over the Exynos 2400 used in its predecessor.
Moreover, the device will reportedly include 8GB of RAM. However, no memory upgrade is expected this time. Even so, the newer chipset should bring better performance and efficiency improvements.
