Samsung Galaxy S7 is not going to catch fire, Samsung confirms

Samsung has declined the reports that some Samsung Galaxy S7 devices are prone to combustion just like their elder siblings, Galaxy Note 7. Samsung has cleared that the Samsung Galaxy S7 is completely safe to use.

We haven’t got much far from the tragic Samsung Note 7 debacle that now we have already started receiving disturbing reports on the other Samsung flagship of this year, the Samsung Galaxy S7 and the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, which are reportedly also catching fire. At least, three independent cases from across the globe the world’s attention. Today, Samsung defied this claim, through an online post made through its website. Samsung said, that there are no confirmed cases on internal battery failure.

“Samsung stands behind the quality and safety of the Galaxy S7 family. There have been no confirmed cases of internal battery failures with these devices among the more than 10 million devices being used by consumers in the United States; however, we have confirmed a number of instances caused by severe external damage. Until Samsung is able to obtain and examine any device, it is impossible to determine the true cause of any incident.” said the statement.

Samsung Note 7 is dead, and people feared if the same manufacturing fault also existed in the S7 family. The point being that such isolated cases have happened over time for many other models and were mainly caused due to external factors. And if a Note 7-type incident was to happen, it would have caught the global attention in no time much like the Note 7.
