A fresh leak has revealed the complete specifications of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra. The details come from a source with a strong track record, giving us an early look at Samsung’s next generation of foldable phones.
The Galaxy Z Fold8 will reportedly be Samsung’s new wide-style foldable. The device appears to target users looking for a larger screen experience and could rival Apple’s rumored iPhone Ultra.

The phone is said to feature a 7.6-inch main folding display with a resolution of 2448 x 1848 pixels and a 4:3 aspect ratio. On the outside, it will have a 5.5-inch cover screen with a resolution of 1248 x 1972 pixels. Both displays are expected to support a 120Hz refresh rate.
Samsung has also reportedly switched to a titanium display substrate. This change could make the display crease nearly invisible.
The Galaxy Z Fold8 will use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chipset. It will be available with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and either 256GB or 512GB of storage. Another version will offer 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. The Fold8 will reportedly come in Graphite, Cream, and Lavender colors. Samsung is also planning a Pistachio version, which will be sold only through its online store.
For photography, the phone is expected to include a 50MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture and a 50MP ultrawide camera with an f/1.9 aperture. The device will also feature two 10MP selfie cameras with f/2.2 apertures.
Samsung is reportedly equipping the Fold8 with a 4,800mAh battery that supports 45W wired charging and wireless charging. The company claims the battery can retain at least 80% of its original capacity after 1,200 charge cycles. The device will measure 4.5mm in thickness when unfolded and carry an IP48 rating for dust and water resistance. It will weigh 201 grams and start at €1,999 in Germany.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra appears to be the true successor to last year’s Galaxy Z Fold7. The Fold8 Ultra will feature an upgraded internal folding display with a resolution of 2256 x 2504 pixels. The cover screen will measure 6.5 inches and offer a resolution of 1080 x 2520 pixels. Both displays will also support a 120Hz refresh rate.
On the back, the phone is expected to carry a 200MP main camera with optical image stabilization and an f/1.7 aperture. It will also include a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and an f/2.4 aperture. Samsung is also adding a new 50MP ultrawide camera with an f/1.9 aperture.
The selfie setup remains unchanged. The Fold8 Ultra will feature two 10MP front cameras with f/2.2 apertures. Like the standard model, the Fold8 Ultra will run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor. It will also use the same RAM and storage options.
However, Samsung is increasing the battery size to 5,000mAh. The phone will support 45W wired charging and wireless charging. The battery is also rated to maintain at least 80% of its original capacity after 1,200 charging cycles.
The Fold8 Ultra will be only 4.1mm thick when unfolded and weigh 218 grams. It will be available in Graphite, Cream, and Violet Shadow colors. A Green Shadow version will remain exclusive to Samsung’s online store. According to the leak, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra will start at €2,199.
