Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves increased by $27 million during the week ended October 2, 2026, reaching $26.797 billion, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
SBP-held reserves rose by $15 million to $21.454 billion from $21.439 billion a week earlier.
Commercial banks’ foreign exchange reserves also increased by $12 million to $5.344 billion during the week. As a result, Pakistan’s total liquid foreign exchange reserves stood at $26.797 billion as of October 2, 2026.
The country’s current foreign exchange reserves are sufficient to cover around 3.04 months of imports.
