Classes at the University of Engineering and Technology Lahore (UET) New Campus in Kala Shah Kaku were moved online on Tuesday following disruptions caused by the closure of the SK Toll Plaza Interchange.
According to university spokesperson Dr. Tanveer Qasim, the blockage of major access routes created significant travel challenges for both students and faculty attempting to reach the campus.
In response to the situation, the university administration decided to conduct all classes virtually for the day to ensure the safety and convenience of students.
Officials clarified that the decision applies exclusively to the Kala Shah Kaku New Campus. Academic activities at the main campus and other UET campuses are continuing as per the regular schedule.
Students have been instructed to attend lectures through designated online platforms and remain in contact with the administration for further updates.
The move reflects a precautionary approach by the university to minimize disruption to academic activities while ensuring accessibility amid infrastructure-related challenges.
