LAHORE: Umar Saif, the CEO of Dil Ka Rishta, has announced his decision to step down from his role after several years of leading Pakistan’s largest matchmaking app.

Saif, a well-known technology entrepreneur and policymaker, previously served as Pakistan’s caretaker IT minister. During his tenure, he played a role in shaping the country’s digital policies and fostering innovation in the tech sector.

His background in technology and governance helped establish Dil Ka Rishta as a major player in the $2.5 billion Muslim matchmaking market, growing its user base to over 6.5 million across 176 countries.

Announcing his departure on LinkedIn, Saif described his journey with the company as “challenging, rewarding, and memorable,” acknowledging the contributions of his team in building the platform.

While Saif has not yet disclosed his next move, he expressed interest in pursuing new challenges. Meanwhile, the matchmaking app is expected to continue its growth trajectory, though the company has not yet announced a successor or any immediate leadership changes at the time of this writing.
