Whatsapp Group Dispute In Peshawar Ends In Tragic Murder

PESHAWAR: A WhatsApp disagreement in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) capital of Peshawar took a deadly turn when a group admin was killed by a disgruntled member after being removed from the chat.

The incident occurred in Peshawar’s Regi Sazai area, where Mushtaq Ahmed, who managed the group, was shot dead by Ashfaq, a former member. Tensions escalated following an intense argument over Ashfaq’s removal from the group. According to Mushtaq’s brother, Humayun, who witnessed the attack, the situation worsened after the two sides seemed to settle the dispute.

While the brothers were heading back home, Ashfaq ambushed them, opening fire. In a desperate attempt to survive, the brothers tried to hide at a nearby petrol station, but Ashfaq pursued them, unleashing a barrage of bullets.

A case has been filed by the victim’s brother, and authorities have launched a thorough investigation. Mushtaq’s body has been sent for an autopsy and will soon be handed over to his family.
