Xiaomi has started rolling out the first HyperOS 4 beta build to users enrolled in its global beta program. The company announced HyperOS 4 in mid-August. It introduced a new glass-style design as part of the software update.
Xiaomi opened beta registrations for global devices last week. The company has now confirmed that testing has officially begun. For now, the beta is limited to three devices. They include the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, Xiaomi 17, and Leica Leitzphone by Xiaomi.
Users with an eligible device can manually check for the update. Go to Settings > About phone, then tap the version number to check for new software. The beta program will expand to more devices on September 17. Xiaomi 17T, 17T Pro, Xiaomi 15, and Xiaomi 15 Ultra owners will also be eligible.
Xiaomi has not confirmed whether more devices will join the beta program later. The company also has not shared a release date for HyperOS 4 stable. That means users may have to wait longer for the final version. For now, Xiaomi is focusing on testing the software with its supported devices.
