Xiaomi has officially launched the Redmi K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max in China. Both phones offer high-end hardware and share several key features. However, they differ in display size, cameras, and battery capacity.
The Redmi K100 Pro uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V Series (SM8850-1-AB). It is a binned version of the regular Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Its Adreno 840 GPU has two cores at 1.2GHz, instead of three cores at 1.3GHz.
The K100 Pro Max gets the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Both models offer up to 16GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. The Pro Max also has a higher 16GB/1TB configuration.
Displays and Cameras
The Redmi K100 Pro features a 6.56-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution. The panel has a 2,510 x 1,156px resolution and a 185Hz refresh rate. Meanwhile, the Pro Max has a larger 6.9-inch AMOLED display.
The Pro Max offers a 2,608 x 1,200px resolution with the same 185Hz refresh rate. This gives the larger model an advantage for users who prefer more screen space. Both displays target buyers looking for a smoother viewing experience.
On the camera side, both phones feature a 200MP main camera. It uses a 1/1.56-inch sensor for the primary shooter. However, the Pro Max offers a more advanced telephoto setup.
The Redmi K100 Pro Max includes a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with a Samsung ISOCELL JN5 sensor. It supports 5x optical zoom, while the K100 Pro has a 2.5x telephoto camera. The Max also gets a 50MP OV50M ultrawide camera, compared with an 8MP ultrawide on the Pro.
Both models also feature a Bose-tuned rear subwoofer. This adds a more powerful audio element to the phones. The devices also carry IP66, IP68, and IP69 ingress protection ratings.
Large Batteries and Fast Charging
The Redmi K100 Pro packs an 8,580mAh silicon-carbon battery. The Pro Max takes that capacity even further with a 9,070mAh Si-C cell. Both phones support 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.
They also support 27W reverse wired charging. This allows the phones to charge other compatible devices when needed. The large batteries should also help users get longer usage between charges.
The Redmi K100 Pro is available in Volt, white, black, and red. The Pro Max comes in blue, white, black, and red. Pricing starts at CNY 3,699 ($548) for the K100 Pro.

The Redmi K100 Pro Max starts at CNY 4,199 ($622) for its 12GB/256GB version. Its top 16GB/1TB model costs CNY 5,999 ($890). Xiaomi has so far announced both phones for the Chinese market. Their international availability has not been confirmed yet. However, there is a possible Poco connection worth watching.
Last year, the Redmi K90 Pro and K90 Pro Max reached international markets as the Poco F8 Pro and Poco F8 Ultra. If Xiaomi follows the same strategy, the new phones could arrive globally as the Poco F9 Pro and Poco F9 Ultra later this year.
