YouTube Music Introduces Song Previews on Artist Pages
YouTube Music is rolling out a new feature that allows users to preview songs directly from artist pages, enhancing music discovery and user experience. The update, which was first reported by 9to5Google, adds a “Samples” button to artist sites next to the search and share choices.
When this button is tapped, a stream of brief video clips with music only by the chosen artist is shown. Listeners may discover music genres and videos before delving into whole albums thanks to this feature, which offers a brief and engaging look into an artist’s catalog.
Describing the feature, YouTube Music highlights that Samples offers “a glimpse into the artist, the video, and the feel of the song.” This is a convenient form for listeners to engage with an artist’s music without having to listen to entire tracks.
The Samples button has been identified on the iOS version of the YouTube Music app and is predicted to be released for Android users shortly, as has become tradition with Google applications to be platform consistent.
This addition is part of YouTube Music’s broader effort to refine its user experience and empower both artists and listeners. The latest updates to the app showcase a revamped artist page that includes a horizontally scrollable “Top Songs” section and playlists curated by AI to match personal preferences.
