Pakistan Introduces ‘Pak ID’ Mobile App to Facilitate Visa-on-Arrival

ISLAMABAD: In a significant move to enhance travel convenience, Pakistan has launched the ‘Pak ID’ mobile application, enabling citizens from 120 countries to apply for visas-on-arrival seamlessly. Developed by the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), this app streamlines the visa application process, allowing travelers to apply, track, and receive their visas online.

Key Features of the ‘Pak ID’ App

• Users can apply for tourist and business visas directly through the app, eliminating the need for physical visits to consulates or visa offices.
• Applicants can monitor the status of their visa applications in real-time, ensuring transparency and timely updates.
• The app incorporates features such as passport scanning, document uploading, and facial recognition to verify identities, enhancing security and user convenience.

Pakistan’s online visa system now caters to nationals from 192 countries, with 120 of these eligible for the visa-on-arrival facility. This initiative reflects Pakistan’s commitment to promoting tourism and business by simplifying entry procedures for international visitors.
