Russia Announces Fully Funded Scholarships for Pakistani Students

The Russian Government has announced fully funded scholarships for Pakistani students to pursue Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD programs at top universities across Russia. The initiative aims to strengthen educational and cultural ties between the two countries.

Russia has been a long-standing partner of Pakistan in academic collaboration, offering hundreds of scholarships annually to promote international education exchange. This year’s program continues that legacy, providing Pakistani students access to globally recognized institutions in engineering, medicine, science, and humanities.

The scholarship covers tuition fees and a monthly stipend, though travel and living expenses must be borne by students. The application deadline is January 15, 2026, and all submissions must be made through the official portal: www.education-in-russia.com.

The Russian Center for Science and Culture (Russian House) in Karachi is the only authorized body for handling nominations from Pakistan. Applicants can choose up to six universities and must upload verified academic and personal documents based on their degree level.

A representative from the Russian House said,

“This scholarship opens new academic horizons for Pakistani students and helps them engage with world-class research and innovation in Russia.”

The selection process includes academic evaluation, portfolio review, and for certain fields creative or physical ability tests. Candidates passing the initial stage will later submit medical and translation documents attested by the Russian Consulate.

In recent months, several countries including the US, UK, and Japan have also announced education opportunities for Pakistani students, reflecting growing global recognition of Pakistan’s young academic talent.
