IREN emerged as the standout, posting about +300% year-to-date, supported by GPU cloud deals and major partnerships. Cipher Mining also delivered strong results with expanded AI hosting collaborations, while Hut 8 Capital gained after securing a 15-year, $7 billion AI data centre lease in Louisiana. These moves boosted earnings prospects beyond traditional bitcoin operations.
In contrast, bitcoin-focused miners without early diversification struggled.
