The Government of Pakistan has officially announced the Indus AI Summit, a flagship national event scheduled for 9 February 2026 at the Jinnah Convention Centre, designed to unify policy, industry, and innovation under a single national platform for artificial intelligence.
The summit is a government-led initiative hosted by the Ministry of Information Technology & Telecommunication, aimed at unifying policy, industry, and innovation under a single coordinated platform.
Indus AI Week, the country’s official government-led AI movement, will kick off with the high-level summit bringing together ministers, international delegates, innovators, and youth representatives. The event marks the beginning of a week-long program of activities that include an Innovation, Learning & Engagement Arena from 9-10 February at the Islamabad Sports Complex and ecosystem events across Pakistan from 9-15 February.
According to official information, the summit will set the strategic direction for Pakistan’s national AI rollout, featuring discussions on national priorities, international perspectives, and youth success stories. It is part of the government’s determined effort to position Pakistan as a global leader in artificial intelligence and to adopt AI in governance, industry, education, and public services.

Officials have emphasized that Indus AI Week is a coordinated mechanism to connect policy, talent, industry, and innovation, moving away from fragmented initiatives toward cohesive national engagement. The Innovation Arena expo will showcase startups, talent, investors, and public sector solutions, with opportunities for training, certifications, jobs, competitions, and pitches, open to the public with registration.
Federal leaders reiterated that the government’s commitment to AI extends beyond events, it is grounded in long-term targets to train one million AI professionals, fund 1,000 AI ventures, and launch civic tech solutions across sectors.
Federal Minister for IT & Telecom, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, emphasized that the government is committed to promoting artificial intelligence through public-private partnerships, expanding AI education and skills development, and fostering innovation nationwide. She highlighted Pakistan’s ambition to become the first AI nation, with the 2030 roadmap targeting 1 million trained AI professionals, 3 million AI-related jobs, all designed to ensure AI adoption across governance, industry, and society.
