Rawalpindi have confirmed their retained players ahead of the 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11, with the first-ever player auction scheduled for today.
The franchise retained Mohammad Rizwan, Sam Billings, Zaman Khan, and Yasir Khan across different categories as preparations continue for the event, which will take place from March 26 to May 3.
The Multan Sultans captain was signed in the Platinum category for PKR 56 million, making him the most expensive of the four selections announced by the franchise ahead of the upcoming auction.
Experienced England batter Sam Billings was picked in the Diamond category for PKR 30.8 million, adding international experience to the squad before the start of the new season.
Star Lahore Qalandars pacer Zaman Khan joined the side in the Gold category for PKR 11.2 million, while Yasir Khan was secured in the Silver category for PKR 6 million.
Earlier this week, the ownership rights of former champions Multan Sultans were finalised during a high-profile bidding process held at the Expo Centre in Lahore.
The bidding intensified after a final call when Walee Technologies returned with a bid of PKR 2.45 billion, prompting CD Ventures to request a strategic five-minute timeout.
Following the brief break, CD Ventures withdrew from the process, and the auctioneer confirmed Walee Technologies as the successful bidder for the next 10 years.
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi later handed over the ceremonial key to representatives of Walee Technologies, who announced that the franchise would relocate from Multan to Rawalpindi.
