The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Rawalpindi (BISE Rawalpindi) has announced strict monitoring measures for the Matric First Annual Examinations 2026, which are scheduled to begin on March 27.
According to officials, the board will install CCTV cameras at all examination centers to closely monitor exam activities and prevent cheating.
In addition, biometric verification of candidates will be introduced to stop impersonation and ensure that only registered students appear in the examinations. Under the new system, students will go through biometric attendance verification, making it impossible for someone else to sit in the exam on their behalf.
Amir Khattak, Commissioner Rawalpindi and Chairman of BISE Rawalpindi, has directed authorities to ensure strict biometric attendance, especially at sensitive or hard-category examination centers across the Rawalpindi Division.
He also instructed officials to keep the online CCTV monitoring system fully operational so that examination centers can be continuously observed during the exams.
The chairman emphasized that discipline, transparency, and merit must be maintained throughout the examination process to ensure fair assessments for all students.
