Uncertainty has emerged over a key fixture in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) after travel concerns raised by Australian authorities cast doubt on the scheduled match at the Imran Khan Cricket Stadium.
The match between Peshawar Zalmi and RawalPindiz, set for 28 March in Peshawar, is reportedly likely to be relocated following security-related advice issued by the Australian government.
According to Australian journalist Daniel Cherny, the fixture may be moved as concerns grow over travel to Peshawar, which has been discouraged in updated guidance.
The development is linked to official travel advice that could impact the involvement of Australian players expected to feature in the contest between the two franchises.
Reports indicate that Australian players have been advised against travelling to Peshawar, raising uncertainty around the availability of individuals named in both squads.
Among those affected are Aaron Hardie, who is part of Zalmi, and Jake Fraser-McGurk, who represents RawalPindiz, with their participation now unclear.
The advice is understood to have been communicated through Cricket Australia, influencing discussions around the viability of staging the match in Peshawar under current conditions.
Despite these developments, the Pakistan Cricket Board has not yet made any official change, and its schedule as of 18 March continues to list the fixture at the same venue.
Officials are, however, believed to be in discussions as they assess options in response to the recent situation and international travel advisories affecting player movement.
It is worth noting that Peshawar and Faisalabad are the two venues hosting the PSL for the first time, with the Imran Khan Stadium in Peshawar set to host just one match.
