Yesterday, PUBG: Battlegrounds officially rolled out Update 41.1. The developers delivered a massive content drop to keep the game’s loyal player base engaged. Consequently, players can now experience a brand-new PvE game mode, a highly anticipated character crossover, and several crucial gameplay refinements.

Enter the Xeno Point Invasion
The headline feature of Update 41.1 is Xeno Point. This exciting new co-op mode throws players directly into an alien invasion on Miramar. You can access Xeno Point through the Arcade section. Initially, each session starts at the HUB. From there, players push through open doors to fight intense waves of Xeno enemies.
Moreover, survival requires teamwork. Players must complete specific objectives while monitoring their squad’s vital stats and equipment. To gain an edge, you can equip Blue Chip Skills and unleash powerful Super abilities. Furthermore, Krafton launched the Event Pass: Xeno Point and announced a Streamer Challenge boasting a massive $100,000 prize pool.

PUBG x Stellar Blade Crossover & Classic Revivals
Update 41.1 finally answers the community’s speculation by introducing the Stellar Blade crossover. Eve joins PUBG as the third Contender, available to unlock in the Workshop. Notably, she is the game’s first Ultimate Contender. As Eve levels up, her appearance and hair colors evolve in stages. This system allows players to customize a truly unique look.
Additionally, the crossover introduces the Crafter Pass: Stellar Blade. Players can collect themed kill effects, emotes, lobby poses, a parachute, and a backpack set. Krafton also revived the popular aespa collaboration. Fans can once again grab returning weapon skins, frying pans, and exclusive emotes.

Destructible Terrain, Gunplay & Upcoming Removals
The developers extended the Destructible Terrain feature to Erangel, joining Rondo, Taego, and Miramar. Players can destroy terrain using explosives like Frag Grenades, C4, and vehicle blasts. Additionally, the new Pickaxe allows players to dig deeper into the ground. Destructible Terrain is also live in Ranked and Custom Esports matches.
Gunplay receives a significant update with two new attachments. The Hybrid Scope lets players instantly toggle between 1x and 4x magnification. Meanwhile, the Tilted Grip offers substantial recoil and camera shake control. To balance these additions, Krafton removed the Angled Foregrip from world spawns and buffed the Half Grip and Dragunov.
Players also get new tactical options. The Emergency Support Flare calls in a supply crate filled with ammo, cover items, and medical supplies. Meanwhile, the Jammer Pack now features a three-tier level system. Finally, the Blue Chip Tower introduces a new mechanic. Players can consume two enemy Blue Chips to summon a special Care Package.
Looking ahead, Krafton announced that Update 42.1 in June will permanently remove six underused weapons: the Mosin Nagant, R45, DP-28, PP-19 Bizon, P1911, and QBU. Steam Market trading for these items ends after the May update.
