According to the rumor, Samsung is actively working on Galaxy Book laptops powered by Android 17. These devices are expected to ship with One UI 9 layered on top. At first glance, this may sound unusual for traditional laptops. However, the direction becomes clearer when seen in a wider context.
Google is already working on a long-term plan to merge ChromeOS with Android. That process is still ongoing and expected to take time. The outcome of this effort is expected to be Aluminum OS.
