Private schools across Sindh have been directed to refund fees collected from Class X students for periods not permitted under official guidelines, with authorities warning of strict legal action in case of non-compliance.
The directive has been issued by the Directorate of Inspection and Registration of Private Institutions Sindh (DIRPIS), following its earlier notification dated April 22.
According to DIRPIS, multiple complaints were received against privately managed schools for charging students beyond the approved timeframe outlined in official instructions.
In response, the authority has ordered all private institutions to immediately return the excess amounts to affected parents or students. It further warned that schools failing to comply with the directive will face action under relevant regulations.
The circular, issued by Additional Director Prof Rafia Mallah, has been circulated to regional directorates and school administrations across Sindh for immediate enforcement.
