Renowned singers Madonna, Shakira Isabel, and Bangtan Boys (BTS) will headline the first FIFA World Cup final halftime show at MetLife Stadium, New Jersey, on 19 July.
Coldplay frontman Chris Martin will curate the performance, which FIFA confirmed will mark the inaugural halftime show at a World Cup final in the history of the game.
FIFA president Gianni Infantino stated the event will unite music and football while supporting the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund for children.
The initiative aims to expand access to quality education and football, highlighting the commitment of FIFA to social development alongside sporting achievements.
The upcoming much-awaited 2026 World Cup will feature a total of 48 teams across United States, Canada, and Mexico, running from 11 June to 19 July.
The expanded format introduces 104 matches, including an additional knockout round, significantly increasing the scale compared with the previous 64‑match tournament.
It is worth noting that the Club World Cup 2025 in North America tested halftime entertainment, featuring performances by Doja Cat, J Balvin, and Nigerian singer Tems.
The upcoming halftime show represents the largest entertainment collaboration of FIFA, combining global stars with football’s biggest stage to create a historic moment in tournament history.
