The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Department has confirmed summer vacations for plain areas beginning 22 May 2026, adjusting schedules due to Eid holidays and weekly closures.
According to the official notification, schools in plain regions will remain closed from 22 May until 31 August 2026, covering the entire summer season.
Earlier plans scheduled vacations in plain areas from 1 June to 31 August 2026, but adjustments were made considering overlapping Eid holidays and weekend breaks.
Education authorities stated that schools in the coldest mountainous regions of the province will observe summer vacations separately from 1 July until 31 July 2026.
The department clarified that notifications for both plain and mountainous areas were issued in advance, ensuring institutions follow the revised schedule without administrative delays.
