Pakistan’s National Cyber Emergency Response Team has announced a new cybersecurity internship program aimed at equipping students and fresh graduates with practical skills needed to protect the country’s digital infrastructure.
The six-week internship will provide hands-on training in key cybersecurity domains, including incident response, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, governance and compliance, digital forensics, software testing, and AI development.
Participants will work under the guidance of experienced cybersecurity professionals, gaining real-world exposure to cyber threat management, security operations, and emerging technologies.
The program is open to students and recent graduates interested in pursuing careers in cybersecurity. While applicants should have a basic understanding of computers and online security, prior experience in networking, software development, or coding is not mandatory.
Officials say the initiative is part of broader efforts to strengthen Pakistan’s cyber defense capabilities by developing a skilled workforce capable of addressing evolving digital security challenges.
Applications for the internship can be submitted online through the National Cyber Emergency Response Team’s website. The deadline for applications is June 16, 2026.
