The Rs. 1.47 billion Azeempura Flyover project has been completed and is expected to open for traffic next week, providing a major boost to connectivity between key transport corridors in Karachi.
During a late-night inspection of the project, Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab announced that the flyover had successfully achieved the 100-day completion target set by Syed Murad Ali Shah.
According to the mayor, the main structure of the flyover has been completed, while only minor finishing work remains before it is formally opened to motorists.
The Azeempura Flyover is expected to significantly improve traffic flow by enhancing connectivity between Shahrah-e-Bhutto and Jinnah International Airport, two critical transport routes in the city.
Officials believe the project will help reduce travel times, ease congestion, and improve mobility for thousands of daily commuters traveling to and from the airport and surrounding areas.
The mayor said the project reflects the commitment of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation to upgrading urban infrastructure and addressing the city’s growing transportation challenges.
Karachi has witnessed increasing investment in road infrastructure projects in recent years as authorities seek to improve traffic management and support the city’s expanding population and economic activity.
