Honor has quietly launched the Honor X70 Pro Max in China, just ahead of the upcoming X80 Pro Max debut next week. The new device enters the market as a mid-range flagship with a focus on display quality, battery life, and durability.
The Honor X70 Pro Max features a 6.79-inch AMOLED display with a 2640×1200 pixel resolution. It also supports a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and gaming. The screen reaches up to 6,000 nits peak brightness, while slim 1.3mm bezels give it a modern look.
The smartphone runs on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 Enhanced edition chipset. It is paired with an Adreno 810 GPU for graphics performance. The device offers 8GB of RAM and storage options up to 512GB. In addition, it runs Android 16-based MagicOS 10.0 out of the box.
On the camera side, the phone includes a 50MP primary rear sensor placed in a circular camera module. For selfies, it carries an 8MP front camera. These specifications aim to balance everyday photography needs with simple usability.
Powering the device is a large 8,560mAh battery. It supports 90W wired fast charging for quicker top-ups. As a result, users can expect extended usage with reduced charging time.
Moreover, Honor has added several durability and convenience features. The X70 Pro Max comes with an IP69K rating for water and dust resistance. It also includes dual speakers, an infrared blaster, and a fingerprint sensor. For connectivity, the phone supports Wi-Fi 6, NFC, Bluetooth 5.2, and a USB Type-C port.
The smartphone is available in Bamboo Green, Phantom Purple, Phantom Night Black, and Sunburst Gold color options. Pricing starts at CNY 1,999, which is about $295, for the 8GB/256GB variant. Meanwhile, the 8GB/512GB model is priced at CNY 2,399, around $355.
In related news, the upcoming Honor X80 Pro Max is scheduled for launch on June 22. It is expected to feature a massive 11,000mAh battery, which could set a new benchmark in battery capacity.
