Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy M47 5G will debut on June 29. Ahead of the launch, the company has shared several key details about the upcoming smartphone, including its display, software, battery, and camera features.
The Galaxy M47 5G will feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Samsung has also equipped the screen with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection for improved durability. The smartphone will offer LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. On the software side, it will run Android 16-based One UI 8.5 straight out of the box. In addition, Samsung has promised six generations of Android OS upgrades along with six years of security updates.
Although the company has not officially disclosed the chipset, a recent Geekbench listing suggests the Galaxy M47 5G could use the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor.
Battery life appears to be another major highlight. Samsung has confirmed a large battery with support for 45W fast charging. The device will also include bypass charging support, a feature that helps reduce heat during extended gaming sessions.
For photography, the Galaxy M47 5G will feature a triple-camera setup on the rear. The system includes a 50MP primary sensor, a 5MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. Meanwhile, a 12MP front-facing camera will sit inside a hole-punch cutout for selfies and video calls.
Samsung will offer the Galaxy M47 5G in two color options: Blaze Blue and Rogue Red. More details, including pricing and availability, are expected when the smartphone becomes official later this month.
