New information has revealed more about Xiaomi’s next compact flagship, the Xiaomi 18, ahead of its expected debut in China this September. According to the source, the Xiaomi 18 will feature a 7,200mAh battery in the Chinese market. While the capacity is larger, it is only a small improvement over the 7,000mAh battery used in the China-exclusive Xiaomi 17.
However, the global version of the Xiaomi 17 arrived with a smaller 6,330mAh battery. Because of that, the global Xiaomi 18 could also launch with a lower battery capacity than the Chinese model.
Besides the battery, the Xiaomi 18 is expected to retain its compact flagship design. Reports suggest it will feature a flat 6.4-inch display with a 2K resolution, offering a sharp viewing experience.
The smartphone is also rumored to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 processor. In addition, it could include a triple rear camera system, highlighted by a 200MP telephoto sensor.
Although Xiaomi has not confirmed these details, the latest leak gives an early look at what buyers can expect from the upcoming flagship. More information is likely to emerge as the rumored September launch approaches.
