The Punjab government has launched the Punjab Shrimp Internship Program 2026-27, offering young professionals an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in shrimp aquaculture while earning a monthly stipend of Rs. 100,000.
Under the initiative, 100 interns will be selected for a one-year paid internship at the Shrimp Estate in Ali Wali, Muzaffargarh. The program aims to develop skilled professionals for Punjab’s emerging shrimp farming industry through practical training in various technical and operational fields.
During the internship, participants will receive on-site training in shrimp farming, hatchery operations, feed production, shrimp processing, laboratory testing, and other related activities.
Internship Positions
The available positions have been allocated across multiple disciplines:
- Farm and Hatchery Interns – 26 positions
- Feed Mill Interns – 10 positions
- Farm Designing Interns – 10 positions
- Processing Plant Interns – 10 positions
- Chemist Interns – 10 positions
- Pathologist Interns – 10 positions
- Microbiologist Interns – 10 positions
- Quantity Surveyor Interns – 6 positions
- Electrification Design Interns – 5 positions
- Aqua Marketing and Trading Interns – 3 positions
Each selected intern will receive a Rs. 100,000 monthly stipend throughout the one-year training program.
