Samsung’s latest foldable phones are off to a strong start. The company introduced the Galaxy Z Flip8, Galaxy Z Fold8, and Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra on July 22. While the new devices will officially go on sale on August 7, early demand has already exceeded Samsung’s expectations in several major markets.
Samsung confirmed that pre-orders for the three new foldables in Europe have surpassed its internal targets. The company also said the lineup recorded 20% more pre-orders than the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7 during the first 11 days after launch. Among the three models, the Galaxy Z Fold8 made up almost 40% of all pre-orders in Europe.
The strong demand is not limited to Europe. Samsung has also seen impressive pre-order numbers in India. The Galaxy Z Flip8 and Galaxy Z Fold8 received 271,000 pre-orders within the first 72 hours after their unveiling. In comparison, the Galaxy Z Flip7 and Galaxy Z Fold7 needed 15 days to reach the same number of pre-orders.
Samsung also achieved a new milestone in South Korea, its home market. The Galaxy Z Flip8 and Galaxy Z Fold8 collected 1.44 million pre-orders within just one week. This figure broke the previous company record of 1.38 million pre-orders set by the Galaxy Note10 series. That earlier record was achieved during an 11-day pre-order period.
These early results show strong interest in Samsung’s latest foldable smartphones across different regions. With official sales starting on August 7, the company will now look to maintain this momentum in the global market.
