Apple has confirmed the release date for iOS 27 alongside the launch of the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. The new iPhone models will open for pre-orders on September 12. They will officially go on sale on September 18 and ship with iOS 27.
Apple first announced iOS 27 in June. The software has since gone through several beta releases as Apple worked on its new features and improvements. The stable version of iOS 27 will be released on Monday, September 14. Eligible iPhone users will be able to install the update once it becomes available.
Apple is also expected to release iPadOS 27, watchOS 27, tvOS 27, and macOS 27 on the same day. The company has not separately highlighted different release dates for these platforms. One of the biggest changes in iOS 27 is the revamped Siri AI experience. However, the updated Siri will not be available in the EU and China at launch.
Beyond Siri, iOS 27 includes several other new features and changes. Apple has detailed more of these additions in its coverage of the upcoming software update. The release will arrive just days before the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max reach customers. This gives existing iPhone users access to the new software before Apple’s latest Pro models hit stores.
