The closure of the railway track between Lahore and Faisalabad has disrupted train schedules and routes connecting Karachi, Quetta, Rawalpindi and other cities. Railway officials said several services are being diverted due to the closure.
The Karachi-bound Karakoram Express will depart from Lahore at 3 p.m. via Sahiwal. Its passengers will be adjusted in the Mianwali Express, which will leave Faisalabad for Karachi at its scheduled time of 5:50 p.m.
The Mianwali Express, which operates between Lahore and Sargodha, will also be diverted through Wazirabad and Lalamusa. Railway officials said other train schedules and routes may also be affected because of the track closure.
