Lahore Traffic Police issued more than 10,000 challans against smoke-emitting vehicles in September as authorities intensified enforcement to control smog and environmental violations across the city.
According to traffic police officials, enforcement operations increased by 215% compared with August and were 1,149% higher than the level recorded in January. Police are continuing inspections at Lahore’s entry and exit points and have also increased checks on commercial vehicles.
Relevant SPs and DSPs are supervising the ongoing operations in their respective areas as authorities continue efforts to curb pollution and smog-related violations.
