Vivo may launch the S70 next month, just months after introducing the S60 series in China. A new leak suggests the upcoming phone will feature a 64MP periscope telephoto camera with teleconverter support.
The source shared the details in a post on Weibo. According to the leak, the camera will use Sony’s LYT610 sensor, which could improve the phone’s zoom capabilities.
The vivo S70 is also tipped to feature a 6.59-inch AMOLED LTPS display with a 1.5K resolution. It may use a Snapdragon 8s series chipset, likely the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4.
Interestingly, vivo reportedly tested a rear display on an early engineering sample of the S70. However, the company later dropped the feature, according to a comment from the tipster.
The vivo S60 series launched in China in May this year. The upcoming S70 could arrive as early as next month, although Vivo has yet to confirm its launch date or specifications.
