The Fallout modding community continues to breathe life into Bethesda’s beloved RPG. Yesterday, on November 5, the CSEP Team officially released a brand-new quest mod titled Fallout 4: Under The Stars. Players can download this exciting expansion for free right now on Nexus Mods. Consequently, fans have a fantastic new excuse to venture back into the treacherous Glowing Sea.
Despite very limited official game releases over the years, talented modders consistently release awesome Fallout 4 content. Furthermore, these community projects are actually growing increasingly ambitious after over a decade. While not quite as massive as the CSEP Team’s recent Fallout: Detour release, Under The Stars remains a great addition that significantly enhances any standard playthrough.
Fallout 4 Under The Stars Mod Brings A Glowing Sea Dungeon
Under The Stars primarily adds a massive new underground facility to the Glowing Sea map. Inside this fresh dungeon, players will discover engaging new puzzles and a fully realized quest. Additionally, the mod includes voiced holotapes that expand the immersive lore.
Explorers will also find highly rewarding loot. The mod introduces two unique weapons and a brand-new outfit to collect. Currently, player reception on Nexus Mods remains positive. However, some users note technical conflicts with other popular Glowing Sea mods. Specifically, players running “Atomic World” and “South of the Sea” might experience compatibility issues. Ultimately, installing multiple smaller mods like this one delivers just as much impact as playing one massive overhaul.
Bethesda Confirms Future Fallout Projects
While modders keep the Commonwealth alive, Bethesda actively develops the franchise’s official future. Currently, the studio focuses heavily on developing The Elder Scrolls 6: Sentinel. Therefore, Fallout 5 remains strictly in the pre-production phase and will likely take a long time to materialize.
Fortunately, the studio recently confirmed several promising intermediate plans. Developers are actively working on remasters for both Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas. Meanwhile, Obsidian is also developing a brand-new game within the franchise. Until these official titles finally launch, the modding community shows no signs of slowing down.
