Lahore police have launched app named as “Welfare Eye” for families of deceased police officials. It is an Android based app that aims to help families of deceased police officials in getting their welfare funds with ease.

CCPO Amin Wains inaugurated the app at his office.

DIG (Operations) Dr. Haider Ashraf, DIG (Investigations) Chaudhry Sultan, DIG (Security) Mr. Moen, SSP Admin Rana Ayyaz Saleem and families of the martyred policemen were present on the occasion.

CCPO on the occasion said, “ The app is being launched to help and solve the problems of families of martyr and deceased police officials”.

The app was launched after Police Dept received complaints from families of martyred police officials, that they are facing difficulty in getting benefits from welfare projects announced for them by the government and Police dept.

According to Dawn newspaper, the welfare policy covered three categories of policemen — those who lost their life in the line of duty, died in service and invalidate (retirement on medical grounds).

CCPO further asserted that the family who is facing difficulty in getting benefits could send an SMS to the number 0301531515 and file their complaints.

Furthermore, CTPL is also expected to launch an Android App named “ RASTA”.

The app aims to provide traffic updates to the citizens, as well as to improve their coordination and prevent traffic jams as much as possible.

The app has six different features, including e-challan, traffic updates, FM Radio, e-licensing, and even complaints.
