Blizzard officially delayed Diablo IV Season 15 at the last minute. The highly anticipated “Season of Hell’s Legacy” was supposed to launch yesterday, September 15. Instead, players faced massive server failures. Today, the developers confirmed an indefinite delay as they scramble to fix the broken launch.

Diablo IV Season 15 Login Failures & the “Rebirth” Bug
The chaos began early on launch day. Players immediately reported severe login problems. The game locked out thousands of fans, throwing error codes ‘3000008’ and ‘3000006’. Blizzard initially stated they were investigating the situation. However, the problems only escalated as the day went on.
Furthermore, a massive progression bug plagued the players who actually managed to log in. These players entered the new season with their gold and Paragon Board unlocks intact. Normally, a new season completely resets these stats. Reports indicate that Blizzard’s new “Rebirth” feature caused this massive glitch. This feature moves characters from the Eternal realm directly into a Seasonal realm. Unfortunately, it failed to wipe the character data properly.
What “Season of Hell’s Legacy” Actually Includes
This delay feels especially harsh because Season 15 marks a major milestone. It serves as the centerpiece for the 30th anniversary of the Diablo franchise. The seasonal questline allows players to explore Sanctuary’s past. Consequently, players will encounter recreated memories of legendary heroes and enemies.
Additionally, this season features the official Diablo IV debut of the iconic character, Deckard Cain. Blizzard is also permanently adding nine Legacy Uniques to the game. These weapons include classic items like Messerschmidt’s Reaver and the Stone of Jordan. Naturally, the update also brings the standard endgame tweaks, balance changes, and quality-of-life improvements.

Currently, Blizzard has not provided a new launch time for Season 15. The team announced the delay via an official X post early this morning, September 16, at 12:24 AM. They promised to share more updates once they have a concrete solution.
