Ubisoft faces another massive leak. A prominent leaker named Rogue recently shared major details regarding Far Cry 7. Fellow leaker xJonathan corroborated these claims. Previously, Rogue successfully leaked details about Assassin’s Creed Hexe. Now, they have exposed Ubisoft’s plans for the next Far Cry installment.
It is important to note that Ubisoft nuked the leaker, Rogue, soon after the leaks surfaced. The account no longer exists on X. xJonathan claimed that some of them came at him as well for a screenshot modified with AI.
Et yen a qui me sont tombé dessus parce que j'ai modifié un screen avec l'IA.
Regardez le résultat quand on fait pas attention à comment on partage les infos bande de guignols 🤡 https://t.co/ZStqK5dp2Q

Some of them came at me because I modified a screenshot with AI.
Look at the result when you don’t pay attention to how you share info, you bunch of clowns.
Far Cry 7 takes players to a harsh Alaskan setting. The core story involves rescuing your family. Furthermore, the game features a strict time-based mechanic. Rogue posted a trailer audio clip featuring action music underscored by a prominent ticking clock. Ubisoft quickly hit this clip with a DMCA takedown. Meanwhile, Rogue completely debunked the widespread rumor that actor Cillian Murphy will play the main villain.
Players will likely see the return of character gender selection. An early development image showed one protagonist resembling a bearded Trevor from GTA V. Additionally, Ubisoft originally developed Far Cry 7 and a standalone multiplayer title as two separate projects. However, the studio has now combined them into a single packaged release.
The multiplayer component is an Extraction shooter. It operates completely independently from the main single-player game. Consequently, it features its own exclusive map called “Paradise Park”. Fans should expect an official announcement this summer, potentially at Summer Game Fest or a Ubisoft Connect event. However, Far Cry 7 will definitely not launch this year. A 2027 release date remains highly likely for the anticipated sequel.
