Google initiative Womenwill conducts a workshop for female entrepreneurs in Lahore

Google Business Group (GBG) hosted its first Womenwill workshop on “Making Digital Marketing More Effective” on Wednesday at Innovation District 92 in Lahore.

Womenwill is a Google initiative that aims to create economic opportunity for women and provides them help to grow and succeed. The initiative is dedicated to helping women in using technology resources to improve efficiency in their business processes.

The workshop was hosted with Akrameen Irfan, Head of Digital Strategy at Ogilvy Pakistan who was a speaker at the workshop. GBG Lahore organizes diverse events such as local gatherings, online hangouts, and meetups so like-minded business professionals connect and then extract the required value out of such meetups.

30 female entrepreneurs got shortlisted to attend the workshop. The purpose of the workshop was to provide help to these ladies in scaling up their business and have a better knowledge of effective digital marketing methodologies.

Through this workshop women entrepreneurs also got the opportunity to connect with their fellow ladies that are on the same entrepreneurial journey as them.

“I believe it was a great knowledge exchange program and we need to continue making such efforts to help women rise,” said Akrameen Khan.

Anum Sadiq Womenwill lead at GBG Lahore said,

“This was the first workshop under Google’s womenwill program in Lahore which was hosted by GBG Lahore in collaboration with Innovation District 92. A series of Leadership and Entrepreneurship workshops is going to be hosted in collaboration with major local innovation hubs.”
