Google may launch its new Gemini Intelligence features on Samsung’s next foldable phones before bringing them to other devices. A fresh report from Korea claims the feature suite could debut on the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8. Samsung may also include it on the rumored Samsung Wide Fold if the company unveils that device at the same event.
Just yesterday, Google introduced Gemini Intelligence and confirmed it would arrive on the Galaxy S26 and Pixel 10 series this summer. However, the latest report now suggests Samsung’s foldables could get early access first.
The move would not come as a surprise. Over the past few years, Samsung and Google have strengthened their partnership. As a result, Google often launches new Android features on Samsung devices before rolling them out to its own Pixel lineup shortly after.
Later, these features usually expand across the wider Android ecosystem. So, Gemini Intelligence will likely reach many Android phones over time. Still, Samsung benefits from limited early access because it allows the company to market its devices as the first to offer the latest AI tools.
According to the report, Gemini Intelligence will ship with One UI 9. Samsung recently started testing the software update internally. The company is expected to introduce One UI 9 alongside its next foldable phones, which rumors say could launch in July.
The update will reportedly run on Android 17 and bring several new AI-powered features to Samsung’s upcoming devices.
